The Farm

Stonereath Stud is located at 2529 Georgetown Road (Hwy 460), Paris, KY (Bourbon County). It was purchased by the Berglar family in May 2011. The farm is situated on 255 acres of the best horse-land in Kentucky. The facilities include 4 barns with 59 stalls, a walker, lunging ring, parade ring, etc. that offer a perfect environment to breed race horses.  In addition Stonereath Stud offers a separate quarantine facility near by.

Stonereath Stud is open to a limited number of private boarders along with our own broodmare band.

Over 85% of our broodmares have earned blacktype on the racecourse or have already produced blacktype winners, respectively.  Our broodmare band consists partly of mares with a European background, led by  PATINEUSE (FR), decending from the famous Wildenstein family of PEINTRE CELEBRE, who is the dam of 2014 Melbourne Cup hero PROTECTIONIST.  The US contingent is led by Grade 1 winner EMMA'S ENCORE and Grade 2 winner SUMMER APPLAUSE.
